At Regions of Africa, we strive ourselves on our ability to initiate change and create positive social impact within our communities in Africa and Australia. Social impact can mean positive changes at a community level or used even more largely to reflect on bigger changes such as on a city-wide and national level. So, how do we create social impact? For that, we strive to be better and to recognise that as the community changes, so do we.In 2017, we were proud to run an auction during our Annual Africa Gala Ball at the Crown Towers Ballroom to raise funds for our outreach program that supported three social impact charities. The gala ball was a soldout event attended by numerous guests, including Ministers, Ambassadors, Government corps from Africa and Australia, non-profit and profit organisations, businesses, entrepreneurs and community members.
At the end of 2017, we also managed to send out medical equipment and surgical supplies to the Southern African Region at Zambia’s Fountain of Hope Orphanage and Chawama district hospitals in Lusaka.
2018 has started on a great note with the Regions of Africa Western Australian State, packing and collecting more hospital grade medical and surgical equipment for distribution to Africa at the end of the year. We thank our donors from various hospitals and care facilities in Perth for their continued support of our programs. Equipment receivers for 2018 will be announced soon.
